Aid for Japan

Tomoko Takahashi of TOTA Press, a talented designer and client of mine with family and friends in Japan, is printing a special edition of letterpress cards to aid in relief efforts for Japan.  100% of the proceeds will get donated to the American Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts for the region.

From Tomoko: “The design is a simple motif that is made up of many many many origami cranes. Senbazuru – or one thousand cranes – is a tradition of folding 1,000 origami cranes to grant a wish, such as wishing for a speedy and solid recovery. This is my wish for the people, my family and friends in Japan – as they have experienced such a devastating tragedy.”

“Card sets are $10 each {+ shipping} and include 4 flat cards {A2-size / 2 designs x 2 / printed on 100% cotton paper} with matching envelopes. Back side is blank for you to write on.”

“* The cards will be very similar to the above, but I will be using different colors. One or both will highlight red, the color of Japan and its flag”

Special cards can be purchased at TOTA Press and individual donations to the Red Cross can be made at the Red Cross website.
